A while later, Tae spoke again, “Tia, I want you to know something. I want to take things really slow with you. So please, just relax.”
Tia breathed out slowly.
“The truth is we don’t yet know each other very well,” he sighed.
“I feel like I know you. All those weeks without you…I…I watched you on YouTube.”
Tae laughed. “Ah, but that’s only one side of me.”
Her lips quirked upward. “True.” She glanced down at Yeontan, asleep on his lap. “But I feel like I see your real heart every time you love on that little dog.”
Tae smiled down at Yeontan. “Ah, but I feel a little sorry for Tannie now.”
She quirked an eyebrow at him. “Why?”
He grinned at her, showing off his boxy smile. “Because now I have you to lavish my love upon.” He glanced down at the pup in his lap. “I’ve already neglected her.”
She peered down at the contentedly sleeping dog snuggled up in his lap before smiling at him. “She doesn’t look any the worse for it.”
Tae laughed. “True. I suppose I have enough love to go around.”
“Let me test that theory,” Tia murmured as she drew near to him, her eyes falling on those pale pink lips of his.
Tae smiled at her as she came ever closer until finally their lips collided. After a moment she murmured, “Besides, now Tannie gets more love.”
“Huh?”
“She has me too now.”
Tae’s heart melted as he smiled at his sweet girl. “Yes. She does. Lucky her.” His eyes delved into her own. “Lucky me.”
Tia gazed up at him. How was it possible to fall more in love with him every day? Being with Tae truly was like experiencing a portion of Heaven touching earth each day.
“24/7 Heaven,” she murmured.
“What?” Tae asked the question in his eyes.
“Being with you is like 24/7 Heaven.”
