Once Tae had brought Jinie back to their room, (on his back so she couldn’t run off again,) the four of them sat on one of the beds and played Uno for an hour while they chatted.  It was around two-thirty when Jinie decided she and Nani needed to get home and into bed.

“You’re gonna come back and see us again tomorrow, right?” Tae pouted as Jinie and Nani put their shoes on.

“Hmm…we’ll see,” Jinie replied.

“Come on!  We’re rarely in the same place!”

Nani laughed as she watched them.  She hoped she and Jimin could be like that someday.  Right now, they were almost nothing more than acquaintances.  She glanced over at him.  He was still seated on the bed, watching Tae and Jinie bicker.  Nani had never seen his face so void of emotion before.  He was probably beyond tired by now.  It was late, and they’d been traveling all month.

Tae and Jinie eventually came to an agreement.  That agreement being that she and Nani would return the next evening.  After that, the girls wished the guys goodbye and headed for the elevator.  Once the reached the entrance to the hotel, they noticed it had started raining.  They’d need to book it to their car if they didn’t want to get soaked.

——————–

Twenty minutes later, they arrived at Jinie’s apartment complex.  Nani parked in the parking garage, and then the two of them headed up to Jinie’s apartment.  They were both soaked.  There was no way Nani was going home like this.

When the finally made it to Jinie’s apartment, they walked in to find Jordan and Jae both sitting on Jinie’s couch.  Nani jumped in surprise when she saw them.

“What are you two doing here?”

“I decided it would be funny to break into Jinie’s apartment this evening since you two bailed on our movie night…” Jordan glanced from Nani to Jinie. “But you two were gone for way longer than we anticipated.”

“I knew I shouldn’t have given you a key!” Jinie exclaimed.

“Where were you guys?” Jae asked.

“Let us go change…then we’ll talk.” Nani replied.

Jinie sent her a worried glance.  They were definitely stuck now.

——————–

Nani ended up wearing a pair of pajamas she didn’t even know Jinie owned.  Jinie changed into one of her sweatshirts and a pair of shorts.  Then Jinie made everyone a cup of tea before the four of them sat in the living room.

“When you said you were going out today…I didn’t think you’d be gone until three in the morning.” Jordan commented.

Jinie hid her face by taking a long sip of tea.

“All right spill it.  What were you up to?” Jae asked.

Jinie set down her teacup suddenly and glanced up at him. “Do you really want to know?”

Jordan and Jae shared a glance before looking back at Jinie.

“Of course!” Jordan exclaimed.

Jinie took a deep breath.

“So…you know how I’ve just randomly ditched plans?”
