Nani rolled around in bed that night.  She couldn’t sleep.  And she could tell Jinie couldn’t either.  Despite her pretending to be asleep, Nani could tell she wasn’t.

“Jinie?”

Silence.

“Jinie, I know you’re awake.”

“Nani…what am I going to do?”

“What do you mean?”

“What if I can’t keep this a secret anymore?  I mean…you three have already figured it out.  What if someone else does?  I don’t want Tae to be hurt…or his image.  If someone finds out, he could be ruined.”

“Hey…we were bound to find out at some point.  We’re your best friends.  It’s harder to hide from us.  And you know none of us will tell anyone.”

“I know…”

“I think you’ll be just fine.”

“I’m not sure…”

“Trust me, Jinie.”

Jordan didn’t wake up in her own bed the next day.  She was still in Jinie’s guest bed.  She sat up and looked around.  Jae was sound asleep at the end of the bed.  He always slept in the weirdest positions.  She climbed out of bed and headed out to the counter.  Nani was leaning against the counter staring at her phone with a grin on her face.  Jinie was wordlessly stirring a cup of tea and looking more depressed than Jordan had ever seen her.

“Good morning!” Jordan exclaimed, announcing her presence in the kitchen.  Both girls gave her a cursory glance before returning their attention to what they were doing.

“Morning, Jordan,” Jinie mumbled.

“What’s with you?” Jordan asked. “You’re usually bright and cheery in the morning.”

“I’m just tired.”

“How?  It’s 1 pm!”

Jinie sighed and stood up abruptly. “I’m going to take a shower.” Then she rushed off to her bedroom.

Jordan watched her go before turning to Nani. “Is something up with her?”

Nani set down her phone. “I don’t know.  She fell asleep late last night.  I think all of us finding out so soon freaked her out.”

Jordan nodded. “I just don’t understand why she didn’t tell us sooner.  Does she not trust us?”

“I think she didn’t want us under the pressure of keeping such a big secret,” Nani explained.

Jordan nodded. “I guess that’s understandable.  But it’s not like she can un-tell us now.” She paused. “What were you doing out with her so late last night, though?”

Nani turned pink. “Um…it’s nothing.”

Jordan raised an eyebrow. “It doesn’t look like nothing.”

Nani waved her off and turned to the counter to start making a cup of tea.

“Nani, don’t act all innocent.  Clearly, you’re hiding something.”

“Well, if I were hiding something, why would I tell you what it was?” Nani asked teasingly.

Jordan leaned on the counter next to her. “Because I’m one of your best friends.  You made Jinie spill her secret, so why don’t you spill yours?”

Nani glanced at Jordan. “Well…”
