Hobi wasn’t looking at her.  He sent her a slight nod, but it was obvious he was on a phone call.  Nia felt a tug on her sleeve.  She looked up at Moon, whose eyes were shining.

“Who is he?”

“Hobi,” was Nia’s short answer.

“Man, I might have to move to Seoul.”

Nia cleared her throat awkwardly. “I’m going to go back to my office now.”

On the way upstairs, Nia wondered why Hobi was here.  He clearly hadn’t come looking for her, and Taehyung was his business rival now…right?

She stepped off the elevator and headed for her office.  It was conjoined with Taehyung’s, so she headed to his first.  She had a question to ask him.  She tapped on the door gently before entering.

“Mr. Kim, why…” she looked around.  Where was he?  He didn’t have any meetings at the moment as far as she knew.  She rushed to her desk to check the schedule.

Meeting with Jung Hoseok at 1:30.

Nia’s eyes bugged out of her head.  Something was definitely going on.  One meeting had been odd enough, but now two?   They’d just met a few days earlier.  What did they need to have another meeting for?

Taehyung returned not even an hour later.  He had a slight smile on his face and was humming when he walked into the office.

“Why was Hobi here?” Nia asked immediately.

Taehyung glanced around before shutting the door.  Then he sat down at his desk.

“We’ve decided to do a merger.”

It was all he said, but she suddenly understood the secrecy.  Their two companies had been huge competitors for the longest time, and they were both very big companies now.  Maybe this would be a good move for the both of them.

The rest of the week flew by with how busy they were.  By Friday, Nia was ready to lay on the couch for the entire weekend.  She was leaving the office the evening when Moon caught her in the hallway.

“Nia!  You want to go to a movie tomorrow afternoon?”

“A movie?”

Moon nodded eagerly.  Nia really didn’t feel like going out this weekend, but Moon would be heading back to Paris soon, so she agreed.

“Did someone say movie?” Sua asked.

Nia spun around in surprise. “Um…yeah.”

“What movie are you seeing?”

“We’ll find out tomorrow,” Moon replied before walking away with a smile on her face.

Nia scratched her head and sighed. “She always does that.”

“Does what?”

“Keeps everything a surprise until the last minute.”

“And you remembered this?”

Nia considered it for a second. “I…guess I did.” She smiled. “Are you not spending time with your husband tomorrow?” she asked suddenly. “I thought you said he was out of town all week and getting back tonight.”

“He is.  I’ll just bring him along.  Nothing wrong with that, right?”
