Jin’s schedule was packed. Who knew wedding planning was so complicated? Today he was taking the boys to get suits. All five of them. At least Joon and Hobi were old enough to keep themselves out of trouble. All Jin needed to do was make sure someone kept an eye on Kookie. Even though he was nearly five, he was still wandering off when people weren’t looking. Tae was also one to wander off sometimes, so they needed to keep an eye on him too. Thankfully, Jimin would usually stick with one of his guardians, so they didn’t need to watch him as closely.
It was only eight am when Jin rolled out of bed, but his house that was usually quiet in the mornings was bustling with activity. Jin entered the living room to find Tae bouncing on their trampoline, his hair flopping as he bounced.
“Appa! Joonie and Seok are making breakfast!”
“Where are Minnie and Kookie?”
“They’re playing hide and seek.”
Jin entered the kitchen a moment later to find his older twins making pancakes and bacon.
“Hey, Appa, try a pancake.” Joon tossed a pancake at Jin frisbee style.
“You five are up awfully early this morning,” Jin commented as he ate the pancake. “These are good, Joon.”
Joon sent him a dimpled grin before returning to flipping pancakes.
“Well, we do have a lot to do today,” Hobi replied. “I thought we should get a head start if we all want enough energy to last us the whole day.”
“Grandpa Yoongi said he’d be here at nine,” Joon mentioned.
“I guess I should go have the boys get ready, then.” Jin mumbled around his last bite of pancake. A few moments later, he was instructing Tae to go get his brothers.
Once all three younger boys were into new clothes and had their hair brushed, they headed out to the kitchen. Joon and Hobi were plating breakfast.
“Are you guys excited to go get suits today?” Hobi asked.
“Yes! I’m going to look very handsome, like Appa!” Kookie exclaimed.
Joon laughed and patted his head. Today was going to be a long day.
——————–
Unsurprisingly, Tae was the first one to disappear when they got to the shop. Hobi went off to find him while the rest of the boys looked at suits. Kookie was quick to drag Jin towards every single suit he saw. And Jimin was busy looking at ties. He pulled one out a moment later.
“Appa! Can I get this one?”
Jin looked over. At the rainbow striped tie. Why did they even sell something like that here?
“Um…it looks a little too big for you, baby.”
Jimin pouted and put the tie back. Kookie, meanwhile, was trying on hats. Specifically, top hats. Yoongi was just watching him with a smile on his face.
“Grandpa Yoonie, look!” Kookie grinned up at him as he placed the hat on his head. “I’m gonna get married! Like Appa!”
Yoongi laughed. “Who are you going to marry?”
Kookie pushed his lips together, making his already chubby cheeks puff out more. “Mmm…I’m gonna marry Fluffy.”
“Your bunny?”
Kookie nodded.
Yoongi chuckled. “All right. Put the hat back. We need to go find Tae before Chaeha gets here.”
“Eomma is coming?” Kookie grinned and put the hat back before running off. Yoongi paused for a second to process what the child had just said before chasing after him. Since when did Kookie call her ‘Eomma?’
——————–
A few minutes later, Tae was found in a rack of suits. He was now confined to Hobi’s back. As in, he was forced into a piggyback ride for the rest of the afternoon. Unless he was trying something on. He laid on Hobi’s back with a pout.
Chaeha showed up not too long after, and it was time to start picking out suits. They decided to pick out Jin’s suit first and go from there.
The first suit Jin tried on was a black one. Chaeha looked him up and down before shaking her head.
“Really? You don’t like this one?”
“I like it, but it isn’t the one.” She stated.
So Jin went to find another one.
Meanwhile, Kookie and Jimin were looking at bowties.
“Look, Grandpa Yoonie!” Kookie held up a dark blue bow. “I want this one!”
Yoongi chuckled. “I think you’re a bit small for it.”
——————–
“That’s the one.”
“This one? It’s not black, though.”
“Why does it need to be black? You need a little color in your life sometimes.”
Jin laughed. “Ok. We’ll get this one. Now we need to go find some suits for the boys.”
——————–
Hobi and Joon were easy. They tried on a few suits, found the one they liked, and were done. The younger boys proved to be a harder task. Kookie and Jimin kept wandering off and coming back with other items, and Tae was refusing to put anything on.
“Tae, will you at least try this one on?” Jin asked, holding up one of the suits he and Chaeha had picked out.
“No! Don’t wanna!”
The problem was that they couldn’t just have Jimin try something on and buy Tae the same exact thing because Tae generally wore a size smaller than Jimin.
“Appa! I want this one!”
Jin looked over to find Kookie holding up a hat. He’d kept bringing hats over when Joon and Hobi had been trying suits on.
“We’re not buying you a hat, baby. Put it back. You need to let Grandpa Yoonie help you try some suit on.”
Kookie pouted. “Ok…”
——————–
After nearly two hours spent the in shop, finally everyone had a suit. And now they had three cranky toddlers on their hands.
“I’m hungryyyy.” Jimin whined.
“Yeah, me too.” Tae joined in with the whining.
“Is it dinner time already?” Jin asked.
“Yeah.” Jimin replied.
That’s how they ended up at a burger joint ten minutes later. Kookie ran off to look for a table almost the second they were in the door, and Chaeha went after him.
Tae and Jimin were practically climbing Jin as he ordered their food. He could tell they were hungry. They hadn’t eaten for hours, and right now they were eating a ridiculous amount for two six-year-olds.
Once their food arrived, all three of the little boys were practically inhaling their food. And Jin hoped they wouldn’t complain any longer today.
So many things to like about this episode, Kookie marrying his bunny? Too cute! Tae having to piggyback all day, yes please can I join?
lmao, I seriously cannot imagine Taehyung more smaller than Jimin but this is seriously adorable
