Nia sat down on the couch.  She was worried now.  This wasn’t anything like the Moon she remembered.

“What’s up?” Nia asked.

Moon sighed. “I have OCD…and the week after I moved here, it got a whole lot worse.”

“Oh.” Nia didn’t know much about OCD, but she wouldn’t have guessed Moon had it.

“When did this start?  You’ve acted way different from what I remember.”

“About…eight years ago?  My doctor said it might’ve been triggered by your sudden death.  It became manageable with therapy and medication…I guess.  But now it’s just as bad as when I was first diagnosed with it.”

Nia nodded. “And…your apartment?”

Moon looked around. “I haven’t really had the energy to get off the couch.  I started unpacking but it just kind of turned into a big mess.  My manager has been over a few times to make sure I’m still alive, but she’s been busy trying to move herself in, and she had a huge family emergency last week.”

Nia nodded. “I’m gonna go call Tae really quick.”

Moon just nodded.  Nia pulled out her phone before wandering out to the kitchen.  Thankfully, Taehyung answered.

“Hey, what’s up?”

“Do you think it would be possible for me to take the rest of the day off?  Moon’s apartment is a mess and she’s not feeling well.”

“Um…I’m sure I can find someone to help me for today.  Sua said she might be coming in in half an hour if she feels good enough, so I think we’ll be ok.”

Nia sighed in relief. “Ok, good.  I’ll see you tonight?”

“Yup.  Is dinner still on?”

“Of course.  Let’s hope I can finish this up by six.”

Taehyung laughed. “I hope Moon feels better soon.  Is she sick?”

“No…more like really bad depression it seems.”

“Ah.  I see.  I gotta go.  Love you.”

“Love you too!”

Nia walked into the living room. “All right, how about we actually unpack your stuff today?”

Moon looked up at her. “Don’t you have work?”

“Tae said I can take the rest of the day off.  Your place is a mess, and I think we need to get you outside too.  Lack of vitamin D isn’t good when you’re already feeling depressed.”

They managed to clean up and organize Moon’s apartment in four hours.  Once everything was tidied up, Nia dragged Moon down to the ground floor to go for a walk.  Moon was in a slightly better mood, but it was clear she was still down.

“What would you like to talk about?” Nia asked as they walked down the street.  It was bright outside despite how cold it was.

“I mean…I already told you what’s up with me.  Anything interesting happen since I’ve seen you?”

Nia thought for a moment.  She shrugged. “Not much.  Tae mentioned…eloping, and Sua’s pregnant, but that’s about it.”

Moon stared at her with wide eyes. “That’s not ‘not much’!  Tae wants to elope?  What about the wedding?”

“Well, not exactly eloping, I guess.  He just suggested getting married sometime this month instead of waiting until the ceremony.”

“Oh.  Well…that’s a good idea, I guess.  How soon would you do it?”

“I’m not sure.  It was just a comment he made.  I might talk to him about it at dinner tonight though….”

Moon nodded. “You said Sua’s pregnant?”

“Yep.  She told me a few weeks ago.”

“Oh, really?  I guess I have been gone for a long time….”

“Yeah.  I think you shouldn’t lock yourself up in the house anymore, though.  I’m getting together with Hyuna and Sua for lunch this weekend.  Well, if Sua’s up to come, that is.  You should join us.”

Moon nodded. “Ok, sounds good.  I’ll come.”

Poor Moon! I like that your writing a bit more about her background, it gives the character some depth
