Taehyung shuffled through the pile of mail he’d just collected. It was mostly junk mail. As usual. But at the bottom of the pile was a letter. He pulled it out and read the address. His eyes widened and he ripped the envelope open. What on earth?
“Dear Taehyung,
I hope you are well. It’s probably a surprise to receive a letter from me. We haven’t had a proper conversation in nearly nine years. I wanted to apologize.
I’m sure by now you know the truth. I hope you’re taking care of Nia. I haven’t heard from her in three months, and I truly have no clue where she is.
I realize I’ve done you a great wrong. The Jungs offered to pay for Nia’s surgery. We didn’t have any other way. I felt like the only way to repay them was by giving her to their son, and that meant getting you out of her life. I’m not sure what I was thinking. I’m sorry, Taehyung.
I’ve received a snow globe every year for the past seven. I can’t help but assume they’re from you. I’m thankful for them. They helped me realize how wrong I was.
I don’t expect you to forgive me. What I did is unforgivable. Please, if Nia is with you, take care of her. I know I can trust you to do that. I hope one day I can reconcile our relationship.
Sincerely,
Choi Aeja”
Taehyung wiped a tear from his eye. He hadn’t expected this. She’d actually bothered to apologize. In all honesty, he didn’t know how to forgive her. He’d spent eight years in pain.
He folded the letter up and put it back in the envelope. Then he took it to his office to hide it in his desk. Maybe one day he’d have the strength to respond to it.

Life seemed to become normal again after that week. Moon was back to booking shoots, and Sua managed to make it to work on time most days.
“Moon, what are you doing?” Nia asked, looking at Moon’s phone over her shoulder.
“Well, I figured I can search Instagram and Twitter for anyone named ‘Kim Seok Jin.’ I asked Hyuna for a picture of him so that should make it easier.”
“Does she know you’re doing this?”
Moon snorted. “Nah. I don’t ask for permission to stalk my friends’ exes.”
“Ok. I’ll just be glad it’s hard for you to secretly stalk Hobi.”
“You’re right. I should stalk him. Does he have any social media?”
“Not as far as I know,” Nia laughed.
“Rats.”

Nia was seated at her desk the next morning when Sua approached her.
“Do you think it’s normal to start showing at eleven weeks?”
“Um…pretty normal, I think. Why?”
“I’ve already gained almost ten pounds…”
Nia shrugged. “Have you been eating more?”
“Not really. Most of what I’ve eaten hasn’t really had time to sit in my body.”
“I mean…you’re growing a baby. You’re supposed to gain weight, right?”
“I guess.”
“I wouldn’t worry about it. Besides, you have a sonogram next week, right? You can ask your doctor then.”
It’s twins!!!!
