Lunch on Saturday had become a weekly ritual now. Nia, Moon, Sua, and Hyuna would all meet around noon at whatever place they’d picked for lunch that week and chat. For hours. They were now knee-deep in wedding planning, and Sua had decided she needed help planning for triplets.
Today, Moon had brought her binder. But she had yet to pull it out. The girls had been jumping from one topic to another.
“Jungkook did say that he makes enough money for me to stay home with them…but I’m still not sure how I’m going to handle raising three kids! I mean…one was already going to be a big change but three!? Honestly, we only planned on having two kids…” Sua stirred her tea with her straw.
“Sua, you know we can all help you, right?” Moon asked. “I mean, I guess most of us have pretty busy schedules during the day, but we can still help!”
Sua sighed and nodded. “I know…but even so, I won’t really have anyone during the day. Both my parents and Jungkook’s live down in Busan, and I’m not sure how much they’d like to move. I’m really considering looking for a nanny.”
“I mean…” Nia bit her lip. “I’m sure I could quit. Once Tae and I get married, it won’t be necessary for me to work anymore.”
“Do you really want to do that though? Don’t you like working with Tae? And besides, then he’d have to replace both of us.”
Nia nodded. “But paperwork is no fun. And honestly, I want to have a kid soon, so I’ll be quitting anyway.” She shrugged. “We have a few months still to think about it.”
——————–
Nia grinned up at the blossoming trees as she and Taehyung walked along the sidewalk. They were finally going on a date for the first time in a few weeks. And today she wanted to discuss when they were getting married. The anticipation was eating at her as they continued to walk.
“Hey, Tae?”
“Mhm?”
“I was thinking about what you said…about maybe getting married soon instead of near when we have the ceremony.”
“Oh?” He was looking down at her now, his attention piqued.
“I was thinking we should do it in a few weeks.”
“Really?”
She nodded and looked up at him, meeting his eyes. “What do you think?”
He dropped her hand and bent down, picking her up by the waist before spinning her around. “I love that idea!” He grinned, and she smiled down at him.

Later that afternoon, the two of them were walking through a park when a little boy wandered up to them. He appeared to be about three or four.
“Hi!”
Taehyung and Nia looked down.
“Hi there!” Taehyung smiled. “What’s your name?”
“Jisung.”
“Oh really? I had a friend named Jisung when I was your age!”
The little boy stared up at him with wide eyes. “Really?”
Taehyung nodded. “Where are you parents?” he asked, his voice still soft.
“Dunno. Eomma was with her friends by the pond.”
“What about your appa?”
“I don’t have an appa.”
Nia watched as Taehyung’s face fell. She knew he felt bad for the little boy. He’d been that little boy once.
“Do you want to walk with us? We should find your eomma,” Taehyung offered, letting go of Nia’s hand and holding it out to Jisung. The little boy grinned and grabbed his hand. He held his other hand up to Nia, and she smiled and took it.
They continued their walk down the path for a few more minutes, searching for any sign of the kid’s mom as they went. Occasionally the two of them would swing him up into the air. Jisung would giggle, and Taehyung would grin and laugh with him.
After about ten minutes, Jisung was complaining that his feet hurt. Taehyung reached down and scooped him up into his arms.
“Do you not see your eomma anywhere?”
Jisung looked around before pointing towards the pond. “She’s over there!”
Taehyung followed the little boy’s finger to see where he was pointing and smiled. “Oh, good! I’m sure she was wondering where you were.”
A minute later, they were walking up to a group of five women seated on a picnic blanket.
“Eomma!” Jisung grinned, running over to her as Taehyung set him on the ground.
She looked up at him. “Didn’t I tell you to go play somewhere else?”
The little boy pouted. “But I’m tired…”
His mother didn’t listen to him, continuing to lecture him. “And look, you bothered two people who were clearly busy! Say sorry to them.”
Jisung looked up at Taehyung and Nia, his eyes filling with tears. “’m sorry…”
“No, no, it’s ok. He wasn’t bothering us at all.” Taehyung told the woman, his eyes going wide.
“Yeah, we were having fun with him,” Nia added.
“Jisung, sit down.”
The little boy sat down silently, tears streaming down his face. Nia grabbed Taehyung’s hand gently.
“Let’s go,” she whispered, tugging him away.
Nia wants to get married fast and i dont blame her!
