“How could she treat him like that? He didn’t do anything wrong!” Taehyung exclaimed as soon as they were out of earshot of the toddler and his mother.
Nia shrugged. “Some people don’t care, Tae. They think their kids are a nuisance. And that kid…his dad left, so I’m sure it’s even more pressure on his mom. He’ll be ok, though.”
She looked up at him to disturb tears running down his face. Her eyes widened. “Oh, Tae…don’t cry.”
“But, Nia…he…I…I wish I could help him….”
“I know. But I don’t think we can. You can’t help everyone, Tae.”

Monday rolled around all too soon. Sua marched into Nia’s office that afternoon while Taehyung was in a meeting.
“I think we should probably decide if we’re quitting soon.”
Nia looked up at her. “Why?”
“Well, Tae’s gonna have to replace both of us if we quit and I’m sure he’d want us to train the people he replaces us with…and he’s probably going to need to interview lots of people. He’s fired so many secretaries before you….”
Nia flicked her pencil against the table. “Well…I think if you quit, I’ll quit. Tae and I are getting married in two weeks-”
“Wait, what? You’re getting married!?”
“I didn’t tell you, did I?” Nia laughed. “We agreed to get married earlier before the wedding.”
“Ohhhh! I see. You need a maid of honor?”
“Um, yes, actually. Are you free in two weeks on Saturday?”
Sua nodded. “I think so.”
Nia smiled. “Ok, good. Anyways, I think you should talk to Tae first about quitting and then once you’re done, I’ll talk to him about it.”
“It’ll probably be hard for him, losing both of us at once. Are you sure you want to quit?”
“I think so. I do want kids, you know. And you definitely need someone to help you wrangle three kids.”
“What are you two talking about?” Taehyung asked, announcing his presence. Both girls jumped. They looked at each other.
“Um, Tae…we’re both thinking about quitting before the end of the summer,” Nia told him.
His eyes widened. “Really?”
They both nodded.
“I’m having triplets, and Nia offered to help me with them. I don’t think I can keep working while raising three kids.”
He nodded as he sat down at his desk. “That’s understandable. I’ll probably have to open interviews soon, though. Since I’ll be replacing both of you, it’s best that we find your replacements before you leave.”
“How about we start next week? The sooner we find replacements, the more we can train them, right?”
“Right.”

“Hello there. I’m Gwan Moon. I believe we’re filming a commercial together next week. I’m looking forward to meeting you!”
“Hi there! I’m looking forward to meeting you as well. This commercial is going to be something I’ve never done before. I hope it goes well!”
Moon smiled down at her phone. Stage one: complete.
Poor Tae losing 2 great employees at once. And Moon you are one sneaky little girl!
