Jimin awoke to Namjoon pounding on his door.
“Jimin! Hobi! We need to leave! What are you two doing in there? And have you seen Tae and Jungkook?”
Jimin yawned as he closed his eyes again. He was so tired…
“JIMIN! HOBI!”
Jimin’s eyes flew open, and he groaned. He rolled over and glanced at the digital clock. The electric blue numbers read, 8:00. He jumped up and fell off the bed. As he hit the floor, he realized how stupid it was to stay up with Sanduni until four in the morning, but she had been so upset. He couldn’t let her go to bed alone…and since he couldn’t join her, he had persuaded her to stay in the library with him until neither of them could keep their eyes open. He’d escorted her back to her room and then finally crawled into his own bed. A bed he had to leave all too soon this morning.
“Jimin! Hobi! I’m going to break this door down if you don’t open it! What has gotten into you all this morning?! Jin and Yoongi have already left to pick up Sherry and May. We need to go get the rest of the girls! We have to be at Soldier Field in half an hour!”
Jimin rubbed the sleep from his eyes as he stumbled towards the door. He glanced at Hobi’s bed. It was empty. He must be in the bathroom.
Jimin opened the door. Namjoon’s mouth dropped open as he stared at Jimin.
“Did you just wake up?”
Jimin nodded, blinking hard. Was that an eyelash poking him in the eye? He turned around and headed for the bathroom. A moment later he realized that the bathroom was empty. He turned towards Namjoon.
“Where is Hobi?”
“WHAT?! Hobi isn’t in the bathroom?”
Jimin shook his head.
“What is going on? Is this the effect hanging out with a bunch of beautiful girls has on all of you?! If so, we need to outlaw dating! We have a concert to perform in less than twelve hours! Did any of you sleep last night?!”
Namjoon was going ballistic. And something was still stabbing Jimin in his eye. He ignored Namjoon and headed for the bathroom to find some eyedrops. He wondered if Sanduni was still sleeping. He stuck his head out the bathroom door and interrupted Namjoon’s tirade.
“Joonie, can you go knock on Sanduni’s door and make sure she’s ready to go? We didn’t head to bed until four o’clock.”
Namjoon stared at him, too furious to speak. Then he pivoted sharply around and headed for the door, intent on giving a certain young lady a lecture. But when Sanduni opened the door a moment later, he couldn’t help but notice the black mascara lines trailing down her cheeks and the circles under her eyes.
He sighed. Jimin had apparently been her shoulder to cry on last night. No wonder he hadn’t slept. The boy who wore his heart on his sleeve couldn’t resist a broken heart.
“Sanduni, are you ready to go? We need to leave for practice in five minutes.”
She blinked. “I’ll be ready.” Then she shut the door in his face.
