They had tied him up.  The worst part was that he could see Moonflower’s terrified face in the light of the fire burning near them.  Yoongi fought against the ropes, but his wrists were secured firmly.   As was the rest of him.  They had wound the ropes around his chest before tying his wrists together.  In the next moment, someone blindfolded him from behind.

No!  

Now he couldn’t see Moonflower anymore.  He was boiling on the inside.  If they touched even one hair on her head, he would have them executed.  

A moment later, rough hands grabbed him and a matching voice demanded that he move forward as those hands shoved him.  His feet trudged forward simply to keep him from falling to the ground under the push from those merciless hands.

“Come along!  Both of you!” that voice hissed in his ear.

Yoongi sighed with relief.  At least he knew she was still with him.  A few minutes later, they were loaded into a cart.  It swayed as it began to move.

“Moonflower?” Yoongi whispered.

“I’m right here,” she murmured as she scooted close to him. 

Suddenly, he could feel her hand on his knee.  He felt tears rushing to his eyes.  

“Are you all right?” His precious voice was a caress.

“I’m fine.  They didn’t even tie me up.”

Another sigh of relief.  “Thank God.”

She leaned her head on his shoulder.  “Are you all right?” she whispered.

“I am furious.  If I were free and had a sword, I would be going berserk.”

Her hand slid back and forth along his knee.  “I am here, Yoongi.  We’ll be okay.”

Suddenly, he turned his head towards her.  “Where is Taehyung?  Do you know what happened to him?”

She shook her head.  “I didn’t hear him.”

“This is truly odd.  I’ve never known Taehyung to be easily overcome.  Or easily fooled.”

She heard someone groan.  She strode forward, falling to her knees before the prone man.  It was too dark here to see him clearly.  She stood up and marched towards a torch.  She picked it up and carried it over to him.  She stuck it in the ground before kneeling next to him again.  

Her eyes slid over his beautiful countenance.  The man was fascinating.  His midnight locks obscured his brow, but his dark eyes managed to peek out between them.  He had a perfectly straight, bold nose that appeared carved from marble.  As did his wide mouth.  What lovely lips!  She found her gaze sliding along them for a few moments longer than necessary. 

He had closed his eyes briefly.  Now, they opened again to stare up at her.  

“Who are you?  What happened to me?”

“I’m Mari.  I have no idea what happened to you.  I just found you here in the garden.”

“My head hurts so badly.”  Taehyung sat up.  

“Let me see,” she murmured as she moved closer to him. 

She reached out and grabbed the torch to illuminate his scalp.  She hissed as her eyes took in the damage.  She pulled his hair back away from the seeping wound.

“You have a nasty laceration here.  Somebody hit you over the head with something, but it broke your skin.  You’re bleeding profusely.  Come.  I must attend to this wound so you don’t get an infection.”

She reached down and slid her arms around his waist, then she heaved him upwards as she stood.  He followed her.  But he found himself grabbing her shoulders a moment later as a wave of dizziness hit him.  She stilled and steadied him.

“Easy.  We’ll take it slow.  If you fall and hit your head again, you’ll do yourself no good.”  

She kept her arm around his waist and slowly led him towards her bedchamber.
