“Joon! Are the boys almost ready to go?”
“In a minute!”
It was barely six am, but Yeongjin and Namjoon were already trying to get their three kids in the car so they could get on the road. They were getting ready to drive to their friend Jin’s house. He lived seven hours from where they did, so they were gearing up for quite the drive. And with three small kids, this would be quite the feat.
Yeongjin was currently trying to wrestle her youngest into the car. Three-year-old Ara was fighting with every bit of her willpower.
“Don’t want to, ma!” she squeaked as she kicked her legs.
“I know, Ara, but we have to. We get to see Uncle Jin tonight. How does that sound?”
Ara pouted.
“Come on, the sooner you’re in your seat, the sooner we can see him.”

Tae was having a similar problem as he tried to get his two-year-old into the car. She was squealing and wiggling as he tried to put her down in her seat.
“Xia, come on, this isn’t funny.”
She giggled as she continued to squirm. Tae huffed and sat her down on the floor of the car. She pouted and held her hands up to him, clearly wanting him to pick her back up.
“Are you going to let me put you in your seat?”
She frowned.
“Ok, I guess I’ll just go help Mommy pack snacks then.” Tae turned to leave when Xia jumped up.
“No! No leave!”
He turned back towards her. “Are you going to let me buckle you in, then?”
She nodded her tiny head. He smiled and picked her up, setting her in her seat. A few minutes later, the rest of the car was packed up and they were ready to go.

Meanwhile, Jimin was shoving as many clothes as he could into a suitcase. He and his wife had left most of the packing to be done yesterday, but they hadn’t planned for her to feel terribly sick all day. They’d found out she was pregnant only two weeks before, so the sudden morning sickness had been unexpected.
Now Jimin was trying to get everything packed that he hadn’t packed the day before. They should’ve started packing sooner, but they’d both been flooded with work and hadn’t had time.
Once Jimin had packed everything he was sure they needed, he zipped their suitcases shut and dragged them out to the car. Then he went to wake Miyun up. Today was going to be a long day in the car if they wanted to do the whole trip today.

Yoongi rolled out of bed at 9 am. His wife was still sound asleep next to him, but their 1-year-old, Oreun, was bouncing in her crib. She giggled when she noticed he was awake. He smiled and climbed out of bed before going to retrieve her.
She grinned and bounced on his hip. He carried her out to the kitchen and made himself coffee while prepping all the snacks for Oreun to eat during the car ride. Thankfully, they only lived 3 hours from Jin, so the ride wouldn’t be too long. But with a 1-year-old, you always needed to be prepared.
Soon enough, he’d changed Oreun into a new outfit and got her in her car seat. In the meantime, Eunjin had gotten up and was finishing packing the car. They were on the road by 10:30 that morning, excited to see their friends.
