Jin walked into the kitchen at 6 am the next morning. Jimin was filling a glass with water. Jin grabbed an apple and sat down at the table.
“I can’t decide if having a bunch of babies in the house is making me want one or not,” Jin commented.
“I think as long as I don’t get triplets like Hobi, I’d love to have a baby,” Jimin laughed.
“That’s true,” Jin laughed. “Those three are adorable, though.”
“Yeah. But imagine having to take care of three babies at once!”
Hobi walked into the room a minute later with Hyunjun in his arms. The small baby appeared rather hyper for the early hour. He was wiggling on Hobi’s hip.
“This one decided it was time to wake up already,” Hobi announced. “I didn’t expect anyone else would be up, though.”
“Well, I usually work opening shift at the store, so I’m up pretty early.” Jin responded.
Jimin yawned. “I think I’m gonna head back to bed. See you guys in a few hours.” Then he left the kitchen, taking the glass of water with him.

Around noon, Aeja realized she needed ingredients for dinner on Christmas. Miyun offered to go with her. And then a bouncy little Ara was asking if she could go. Yeongjin offered to drive the four of them so they could just take one car.
Now Yeongjin was chasing Ara around the store while Aeja and Miyun looked at food.
“So,” Miyun started as they looked at the different kinds of soy sauce. “Do you think you’ll ever have kids?”
Aeja looked over at her. “Mmm, I’m not sure. I think Jin wanted to host Christmas this year as sort of…a trial run for us. You know, see how we’d do with a bunch of little kids.”
“Oh,” Miyun nodded.
“What about you? Do you want kids?”
“I think so…I’m just a bit scared I won’t know how to raise them.”
“Well, parenting is a learning curve, right?”
Miyun nodded.
“You could always talk to one of the other girls. I’m probably the worst person to ask about this. I don’t have kids, you know?”
“That’s true…maybe I should talk to Ireun. She’s been raising triplets.”
Just then, Ara came running up to them. “Can we get cookies?”
“Why don’t you ask your mom?” Aeja offered.
Ara pouted. “But she’ll say no…”
Yeongjin came running down the aisle just then.
“Ara! Don’t run away from me like that!”
Ara pouted. Aeja shook her head. It was moments like this that made her think maybe she didn’t want kids…

Oreun was clinging to the table again. Yoongi was sitting a few feet away from her, patting his lap.
“Come here, Oreunie. You can do it.”
She grinned at him and made a move that looked like a quick squat. She continued to do it a few more times, staring up at Yoongi the whole time.
Jin watched them from the couch. Yoongi had been the last one Jin would’ve thought would have a kid. And yet here he was, playing with his little baby as he tried to teach her to walk.
Oreun turned away from the table suddenly, letting go of it and taking a few steps towards Yoongi before plopping down on her bottom. Yoongi grinned down at her.
“You did it, Oreun! You walked!” he scooped her up before quickly wandering down the hall. “Eunjin, Oreun took her first steps!”
Jin smiled as he watched Yoongi go. This right here was why he’d decided to invite everyone. He loved seeing joy on people’s faces, and the holidays were the time when people were the happiest.
