Jimin could tell Miyun was nervous. They’d waited until lunch to tell everyone that she was pregnant, but they hadn’t really thought out how they were going to go about it. Jimin decided to take action. He grabbed his glass and gently tapped it with his fork. Everyone turned to look at him, including Miyun.
“We have one more gift for you guys, don’t we, Miyun?” Jimin asked, smiling down at her.
“I don’t know, do we?” she asked, feigning innocence.
He laughed. “Do you want to tell them, or should I?”
She paused for a moment to think, leaving everyone in suspense.
“I suppose I’ll tell them,” she finally responded.
Miyun turned to address the table. “We were going to announce this this morning…but after the big mess the kids made, we thought it wouldn’t be the best time, so we decided to wait until now.”
Everyone was staring at her with bated breath.
“I’m pregnant.”
The table was silent for a few seconds before a few of the girls burst out in exclaimations.
“You’re pregnant?”
“When are you due?”
“Do you have any name ideas?”
Miyun clearly wasn’t used to being the center of attention, because she instantly turned red. Jimin decided to jump in.
“Why don’t we finish eating? Then we can all talk later.”
Everyone agreed, and Jimin hoped it would save Miyun some embarrassment for now.

An hour later, it was nap time for the kids, so the girls all gathered in the living room. The moment everyone was seated, Miyun was once again bombarded with attention.
“Are you excited?” Xun asked.
“Um…I’m not sure. I never really thought I’d be a mom, so finding out I’m pregnant was a huge shock.”
“Really?” Xun asked. “I’d always wanted kids.”
“I grew up with a bunch of cousins and brother that were ten or more years older than me, so I guess I’m used to being the baby in the family. Having kids just wasn’t really something I’d considered.”
“Oh, I see.”
“So, when are you due?” Aeja asked.
“At the beginning of August,” Miyun replied.
Aeja smiled. “Maybe we can have a baby shower over the summer, then?”
“That sounds like fun!” Yeongjin exclaimed. “And it would give me an excuse to leave the kids home with Namjoon for a few days,” she laughed.
“Can I help plan it?” Yumi asked suddenly.
Miyun smiled. “Of course.”
