Tae woke up a few hours later feeling horrible.  He just wanted to fall asleep again.  His head was pounding, and he was very congested.  Had he really caught what Jisu had?  Or was it something else?  She hadn’t seemed to have a headache at all since she had gotten home.  He glanced down at Jisu, who was still sound asleep on his chest.  Then he let his head fall back into his pillow again.

“Jagi?”

Tae was shocked to hear Jisu’s voice. “Hmm?” he asked, trying to sound unfazed.

Jisu sat up suddenly and leaned over Tae, looking him in the eye. “Are you all right?  Your voice sounds a bit hoarse.”  She seemed a lot better than she had a few hours before.

“It does?”

Jisu gave him a stern look. “Tae.”

“What?”

“Stop acting like you’re fine.”

Tae sighed and pulled her back onto his chest, causing him to cough slightly. “It doesn’t matter if I’m fine or not.  You’re sick right now, so I’m taking care of you.”

Jisu stayed silent for a moment, letting Tae think he had won.  But then she protested.  She pushed herself up and placed her hand on his forehead.

“You’re fine, huh?  You feel pretty warm for someone who’s fine.”

Tae grabbed her hand and pulled it away from his forehead. “Your hands are just cold, so my head feels warm to you.”

Jisu sighed.  There was just no way to win with him, was there?

“If that’s true, your temperature will read off normal on a thermometer, right?”

Tae tried to argue, but then realized there was no point, so he shut his mouth.  He had lost.   He sighed. “Fine.  You win.  I don’t…feel very good…”

Jisu smiled softly and kissed the tip of his nose. “Don’t worry.  We can be sick together.”

He pulled her against his chest again. “Ok, but I get lots of snuggles!”

Jisu smiled and nuzzled her head into his neck. “Sounds good to me.”
