“I want to cut the cake!” Tae exclaimed.
“No, me!” Jimin argued.
“I think we should let Kookie cut it,” Chaeha cut into their argument.
Both of the twins pouted, and Kookie grinned.
“Here, Kookie, I’m going to cut it, but you can help me hold the knife.”
Chaeha held the knife up, and Kookie grabbed the handle with her.
“Ok, one…two…three.”
She cut a slice out, and pink sprinkles spilled out of the cake.
“It’s a girl!” Tae exclaimed.
“Really?” Joon asked, a grin on his face.
“Yep. Are you guys excited?”
“Yeah! We can go shopping now!” Tae exclaimed.
Chaeha laughed. “Kookie, how do you feel about moving into Tae and Jimin’s room?”
“Oh yeah!” Kookie exclaimed.
Jin patted his head. “Well, how about we move your dresser into their room tonight?”
Kookie jumped up and down. “Yeah! It’s gonna be fun!”

JoJo bounced onto the boys’ bed. “So, you’re gonna have a little sister now?”
“JoJo, you and Tyler will now be the only ones who don’t have a baby in the house!” Xander laughed.
“Sophia is five! Doesn’t she count?”
“No, Kookie and Luke are the same age as her. She’s not a baby.” Tae responded.
JoJo huffed. “My mom said she won’t have anymore kids. Three is enough.”
“That sucks. My mom said she wants another one soon. She wants one more girl,” Xander announced.
“Another one? Ella is loud enough!” Tae exclaimed.
Xander shrugged. “I like babies, so I don’t care.”

“Min! Put the Switch away! Your uncle is going to be here in half an hour!” Jin exclaimed as he rushed through the living room. Somehow, none of the laundry had gotten done this week. So now he was running around at the last minute to get it done.
Ten minutes later, the doorbell rang. Tae came running down the hallway to open the door.
“Uncle Seho! Auntie Ambra!”
“Oh, wow, you’ve grown,” Seho laughed as he picked Tae up. “You’re not so little anymore.”
“Yeah! You need to come see us more! I’ll be bigger than you next time!”
Seho laughed. “Well, you never know, I might be moving here…” he let his voice trail off as he glanced over at Ambra, who poked him in the side.
“Ambra! I feel like I haven’t seen you in forever!” Chaeha exclaimed as she hugged her friend.
“It has been a while…” Ambra replied as she looked down at Chaeha’s belly. “Got any name ideas yet?”
“I do. But I’m not telling you what they are yet.” She grabbed Ambra’s hand before gesturing to the ring on it. “What’s this?”
“Might be an engagement ring.”
“Mhm. Tell me more.”
“Hey, you!” Jin exclaimed as he tackled his brother. “You need to consider coming more often. The boys have been asking for months when you’d come.”
“Well, I might be moving here in the summer if things go well. Ambra doesn’t want to move across an ocean, and all my family is here anyways.”
Jin nodded. “You should’ve told us you were engaged sooner!”
“She wanted to keep it a secret until we got here. Her decision, not mine,” he laughed.
“Hey, Uncle Seho.” Hobi grinned.
“Oh, wow, you’ve grown too! You guys need to stop getting so big. I remember when you weren’t even up to my knees! You might rival my height soon.”
“I’m planning on it,” Hobi winked at him.
——————–
“Your house is so big! Remember when we lived in that tiny flat in LA? And now you own a house big enough to fit seven in it!” Ambra exclaimed as she helped Chaeha cook.
“Well, I think we’ll have to get another place in a few years. Unless Hobi and Joon move out. The younger boys are sure to get tired of sharing a room eventually, and I think I want at least one more baby after this one.”
“Wow, you’re a trooper. Seven kids?”
“You know I love kids.”
“Oh, yeah. If you didn’t you wouldn’t have taken on twenty-five preschoolers every year.”
Chaeha laughed.
“Your little girl is going to be very protected growing up with five older brothers.”
“Oh, I bet. Tae already wants to spoil her, and Kookie keeps trying to help us put her room together. And Jimin-” Chaeha let out a giggle. “Every time we go shopping, he’ll pull things off the shelf and ask if we can buy it for the baby. Last week he picked out a kitten plushie. I couldn’t say no. It was so cute.”
“What about Joon and Hobi?”
“Hobi is thrilled. I think he’s excited to finally have a sister. And last week, Joon came home with a little onesie. He said he’d found it while he was at the store and wanted to see her in it.”
“They’re going to be great older brothers.” Ambra nodded. “Jin raised some adorable kids.”
“He really did. He’s a great dad. I can tell he’s a bit scared, though. His ex left him right after Kookie was born, and I think he’s afraid I’ll leave.”
“That’s ridiculous! He knows you! You’d never do that!”
Chaeha nodded. “He does. He even told me he knows I wouldn’t do that. But it’s understandable. There has to always be that uncertainty. He was left all alone to raise five kids, you know. It must’ve been so hard.” Chaeha shook her head. “He’s a superhero. Not only did he raise them, but he did it so well. The boys are all very close to him, and I can tell it’s because of how he deals with them. Even when he punishes them, he’s very gentle with them most of the time. Last week, Tae got into trouble for not letting Kookie play with any of the LEGOs, and Jin didn’t yell at him at all. He just talked to Tae. Asked him why what he did was wrong and told him to apologize to Kookie. It amazed me. I’d never seen anyone discipline their child like that.”
“You are definitely head over heels for him,” Ambra laughed.
“Who wouldn’t be? He’s a doll!”
“Of course.”

“Mace, guess what?”
Macy looked up from her book. “What is it?”
“My mom is having a girl!”
“Oh really? That’s awesome!”
Joon nodded. “It’ll be nice to have a girl in the house for once after all the boys we have,” he laughed. “Honestly, I don’t ever remember shopping for baby clothes for any of the boys, so getting to do that is nice.”
“Ah, everyone wore hand-me-downs?”
Joon nodded. “We didn’t have a lot of money, and we had tons of clothes from when Hobi and I were little, so Jimin, Tae, and Kookie just got all of our clothes. Most of what they’re still wearing was mine and Hobi’s at some point.”
Macy nodded. “Still, it must be nice to have siblings. I’ve never had any. It’s lonely at home a lot of the time.”
“Is it? I’ve never thought of what it would be like to be an only child. Maybe my eomma would’ve stayed,” Joon shrugged. “Honestly, when I was younger it was a bit annoying to have so many siblings. It was so loud! But now I don’t mind as much. The boys are getting old enough that I can actually do stuff with them, and it’s nice to have Hobi. It’s so easy to talk to him about stuff.”
Macy smiled. “I wish I could come over more often. I love your house. It’s just so…fun. It’s lively. At home it’s pretty quiet,” she laughed.
“Must be. I can’t imagine being somewhere quiet now. When I go anywhere that’s not bursting with noise it feels odd.”
“Do you think your parents will have more kids?”
“I’m sure of it. Just last week mom said she wouldn’t have minded if she were having twins. That would’ve been crazy!”
“Yeah, three sets of twins? Can you imagine? That’s so rare, too!”
“Just watch her have twins next,” Joon laughed.
“That would be eight kids. That’s a lot.”
“Isn’t six already a lot though?”
“Yeah, you’re right, it is.”
