Thankfully, the kids’ gifts kept them occupied. Well, for half an hour at least. But then something happened. Someone had had the great idea to buy Namji a LEGO set. He’d loved it. It wasn’t too big, so he’d built it in that half an hour. But then Hajoon had wrecked it. And Namji started crying. Hajoon had been sent to sit in the corner, and Jin had offered to help Namji rebuild the LEGO set.
Everyone had hoped that would be the end of the arguments. But then Ara and Xia started arguing over a doll Ara had been given. By the time Jungkook had entered the room, the girls were about to tear the doll in half. It was immediately confiscated, and both girls were sent to sit in a corner as well.
By the time lunch time rolled around, all the adults were about ten minutes from packing everything up and braving the snowstorm outside. What had they expected to happen when they gotten ten little kids under six together in the same house? Not to mention, the kitchen was a total disaster from breakfast prep still.
Jimin, Namjoon, and Jin decided to take one for the team and watch the toddlers. Hobi and Yumi helped Ireun keep an eye on the triplets. Aeja, Yeongjin, Xun, and Miyun tackled the kitchen together. Jungkook and Yoongi offered to clean up the living room, and Eunjin and Tae were both on the couch watching a baby. Taemin was once again asleep on Tae’s lap, and Oreun was seated on Eunjin’s lap playing with a shape cube. It was clear the tiny toddler didn’t want to touch the ground again after the previous day.
Soon enough, the kitchen and living room had been cleaned, and it was time to make lunch. The skies were completely clear now, so Jungkook decided it would be a good idea to shovel the driveway and the sidewalk. Clearly, he’d forgotten how much it had snowed. He opened the door to find a nearly two-foot pile of snow in front of him. He turned back to Yoongi, who had been right behind him.
“Do you think we can shovel this?”
Yoongi took one look at it, looked back at Jungkook, and replied, “Maybe. It’s up to you.”

Jungkook had decided it was possible, but if they were going to do it, they couldn’t do it alone. Aeja really only needed one person to help in the kitchen, so Miyun and Yeongjin took up watching the toddlers, and Jimin, Namjoon, and Jin all geared up to clear off the driveway.
Jungkook had been overly optimistic. They’d need a blowtorch to melt some of the snow for this to even be effective. Or so Jin thought. It took them nearly an hour, but they cleared the entire driveway. Now it would be easier for them to all leave in the morning.
By the time they all plied back into the house, lunch was almost ready. Xun, Hobi, and Eunjin were setting the table up. As in, they were making it big enough to fit fourteen people at. They’d decided the kids could sit in the living room. And maybe one of them would go check on them every so often.
Five pairs of snow-coated boots were left by the front door, as well as a pile of coats and five shovels. Yeongjin and Miyun seated all the kids in the living room, and it was finally time for lunch. Maybe something would finally go right today.
Can those men shovel my driveway?
