Nia was glad she’d started talking to Sua. The girl seemed to always have an answer to any problem Nia had. But now Nia was wondering what to do about Taehyung, and she didn’t know how to ask. Sure, she liked him. He was super sweet. But did she love him?
The more she asked herself that question, the stupider it sounded. She knew she loved him. At least, she knew she loved the idea of him. The more memories she gained, the more she fell in love with that boy he’d been in high school. But…was he still that same person?

“Hey, Nia! Let’s get lunch together today!” Moon exclaimed as she joined Nia on her walk down the hall.
“Um…all right. Where should we go?”
“It’s a secret.” Moon winked at her.
It didn’t stay a secret for very long, though. Nia found herself seated in the most popular smoothie joint in the city half an hour later.
“I heard Tae has a dog. Are you guys using it as preparation for kids?”
“Uh…no. Tae and I aren’t even dating.”
Moon gasped. “What!? Are you serious?” She sighed dramatically and buried her face in her hands. “My OTP is ruined.”
“OTP? What’s that?”
“One True Pair. It’s like…when you ship two people…” Moon paused, realizing Nia probably didn’t understand anything she was saying. “Why aren’t you dating, though?”
Nia sighed. “We just met again a few months ago, and I just broke up with my fiancé, and neither of us know what we want.”
“Your fiancé? What? Ok, now I need the whole story.”
So, Nia told her the long, complex story. And when she was done, Moon was left speechless.
“Oh…I see. Well, at least I didn’t miss your wedding, then.”
Nia laughed. “I have no clue when I’ll get married.”
“Well, when you do, it better be to Tae. It’s been thirteen years since you guys met. I never imagined we’d be thirty and you two wouldn’t be married yet.”
Nia shrugged. “There’s plenty of things we didn’t expect to happen. But we’re all here now, aren’t we?”
Moon nodded.
“How did you get into modeling?” Nia asked suddenly. “I’ve racked my brain, but I don’t recall you ever wanting to model. As far as I remember…you seemed pretty average. And I don’t remember you ever wanting to be a model.”
Moon let out a gentle laugh. “Ah…I doubt you remember why I moved to Paris. I wanted to pursue photography. I ended up shadowing at a few professional shoots, and one day they were missing a model. Someone noticed me and asked me to step in. And I loved it. So, I ended up dropping photography and going to modelling school….” She shrugged. “And it just went on from there.”
“Oh…I see. Is it still fun?”
Moon nodded. “I love posing for the camera.” She appeared thoughtful for a moment. “What happened with your art? Did you ever get to go to school for that?”
Nia shook her head. “I only remembered that I liked drawing a couple months ago, honestly. And I didn’t think about going to art school, I guess. I have a job, and I haven’t been drawing recently. I think it’s just going to stay a hobby.”
Moon nodded. “I understand.”

Their schedule was packed, so they had to cut their lunch short. Nia was walking through the lobby of Kim Inc. when someone caught her eye.
“Hobi?”
Hobi’s back!
