Nia rolled out of bed at eight the next morning. When she entered the kitchen, Taehyung was dressed in a crisp shirt and a pair of slacks and pouring a cup of coffee.
“Are you going somewhere?” Nia asked.
“I have a meeting this morning,” Taehyung replied.
“Oh, I see. Are you doing anything this afternoon?”
“No, why?”
“I’m going to a movie with Moon and Sua. I was just wondering if you wanted to come.”
“Sounds interesting. I’m guessing you don’t know what movie you’re seeing?”
Nia shook her head.
“I’m in. Text me the time and I’ll be there.”

Six hours later, Nia met Moon, Sua, and Sua’s husband at the movie theater.
“Nia! This is my husband, Jungkook,” Sua motioned to the tall man standing next to her. He offered Nia a soft smile.
“Will Tae be here soon?” Moon asked, cutting off any hope of conversation.
“Yeah. He said he’s bringing someone, so we need to get six tickets.”
“Oh ok! Who’s he bringing?”
Nia shrugged. “He didn’t say.”
Moon sighed. “He’s playing my game, isn’t he?”
“Probably.”
To everyone’s surprise, Taehyung showed up fifteen minutes later with Hobi. They were both still dressed pretty nicely. Nia assumed they’d both just gotten off of work. She offered Hobi an awkward wave. She could just feel Moon giving him heart eyes from where she was standing.
“Mr. Kim! You remember my husband, right?”
“Of course.” He offered his hand to Jungkook, who gladly shook it. “Nice to see you.”
Once everyone was seated, Nia leaned over to Taehyung. “Was there a particular reason you brought Hobi along?”
“I figured Moon could use some company. I heard her gushing over him yesterday, and I figured since she’s only going to be here for a few more days, I’d let her get to know him.”
Nia glanced over at the two of them. Moon was laughing so hard she was doubled over in her chair, and Hobi had a gentle smile on his face.
“I hope it helps.”
“Hmm?” Taehyung asked.
“I hope she’ll help him…get over me. I know he was in love with me when we broke up. I’m just hoping he can get over it.”
Taehyung nodded. “It might take him a while, you know. Wounds like that don’t heal fast.”
Nia looked back up at him. “How fast do they heal?”
“They can heal faster if it’s unrequited love, I suppose. But when you spend so long with someone and they leave you, it hurts worse than anything you’ve ever experienced.” He met her gaze, and she could feel his pain as he spoke. “I’d never wish that kind of pain on anyone.”
Nia nodded, but she was stopped from saying anything else as the movie finally started.
Hobi and Moon cute! Poor Taehyung, he still loves her doesn’t he?
