“Are you free for lunch today?  I’ll be down by your work this afternoon because we’re shooting a few episodes.”

Hyuna picked up her phone at the beginning of her lunch break.  She’d already packed herself a lunch, but he didn’t have to know that.

“I’m free for the next hour if you’d like to meet up.”

“Ok.  We just got a break, so I’ll come pick you up.”

Hyuna drummed her fingers against the counter as she waited.  It was so odd to be dating Jin again.  In a way, she almost felt closer to him than she had nine years ago.  He was more talkative now.  It had been about three months since they’d started dating, and she was glad to be seeing a new side of him.  She was glad.  He made her feel more relaxed than he had back in college.

“Man, you weren’t kidding when you said Moon had a dictionary full of plans,” Taehyung sighed as he set the binder on the table.  He flipped through it. “Oh, by the way, what are we going to do about a flower girl?  We don’t know any little girls, do we?”

“Actually…I do have someone I could ask.” Nia pressed her lips together.

“Who?”

“Hobi’s niece.  Minseo.  She’s about seven.  Do you mind…?”

“No!  That’s a great idea!  I’m just glad you knew someone.  Honestly, we had just the luck knowing Jisung’s dad.  Otherwise, I would’ve had no other ideas for the ring bearer.”

“You don’t think it’ll be awkward?”

“Why would it be?”

“I don’t know…I dated Hobi for six years.  Isn’t it awkward to be around him?”

Taehyung shrugged. “He’s a good guy.  And he took care of you for me when I couldn’t be there.  I don’t see why I’d have a problem with him.”

Nia sighed. “I don’t know.  I just find it odd, I guess.  I mean, I’d be jealous of your ex if you had one.”

He raised his eyebrow. “Oh, you would, would you?”

Nia grabbed the binder and pulled it towards her, burying her face in it. “You don’t mind the colors being navy blue and burgundy, right?”

Taehyung flipped the binder shut and pulled it away from her. “Don’t change the subject.”

“Tae, don’t be mean, please.” Nia glanced up at him, her face turning scarlet.

“I’m being mean?” he chuckled.  He grabbed her hands. “Past relationships don’t matter, you know.  Were you ever really in love with him anyways?  Do I have anything to be jealous of?”

Nia shrugged. “I thought I was…I guess.  But I realized I wasn’t when I remembered you.”

He hooked his finger under her chin, gently lifting it so she would meet his eyes.  He grinned. “I love you.”

“I love you t-” Nia was cut off as Taehyung pressed his lips against her own.

After a few moments, Taehyung pulled away, chuckling. “What did you say about the colors?”

——————–

“Ok, so I’m thinking we put the crib over there,” Sua pointed to one of the corners of the room. “And I want to put the changing table here.  And maybe the rocking chair here.”

Nia looked around the room. “You really have all this planned out, huh?”

“Well, it started to come together better after we painted.  Jungkook’s been whining that it should’ve been red.” Sua shook her head. “I don’t know why anyone would paint a baby’s room red.  And it wasn’t even a subtle red either!  It was bright, firetruck red!”

Nia laughed. “I can’t believe him.”

“Me neither.  I’m glad I won the argument, though.  I’ll be the one in this room most of the time, and I do not want to be staring at bright red walls.”

“We should probably start assembling the crib.  I’m sure we’ll have to take some time to figure out those instructions.  I showed them to Tae this morning and even he looked confused.”

Sua cringed. “Yeah, let’s get to work.  Worst case scenario is we’ll have to attempt to put it together without instructions.”
