Nia didn’t have to knock when she got to Sua’s apartment. Sua had given her a key. Nia slid the key into the lock and pushed the door open.
“Sua! I brought breakfast!” Nia exclaimed as she headed towards the nursery. Jisung was tugging on her hand, looking around the house. “Sungie, hang on.”
When Nia entered the nursery a moment later, Sua was sitting in the rocking chair, all three babies asleep on top of her.
“Good morning to you too,” she laughed. “I can’t believe Jungkook had to go back to work already. These three were all throwing a fit when he left this morning.”
“I wish I could get here earlier. I have to pick Jisung up at seven, though, so I can never make it here until seven-thirty.”
Sua nodded. “Now, what’s for breakfast? I’m starving.”
Getting all the babies off Sua without waking them up was harder than Nia expected it to be. She picked up Jiwoon first, and he fussed a bit when she set him down in the crib. Thankfully, his pacifier calmed him down. Jinri didn’t make a sound as Nia moved her to the crib. Jihoo wasn’t very happy, though. He started crying and then wouldn’t go back to sleep.
“Don’t worry, I’ll hold him. Eat. You need food.” Nia assured Sua. “I’ll be back in a few minutes. I’m going to go set Jisung up in the living room.”
Yoongi had sent tons of toys with Nia. It was hard to keep a five-year-old self-occupied for hours on end, but they were going to try. Nia set Jihoo down on his stomach on the little blanket they’d put in the living room before pulling out the bag of toys for Jisung.
“Ok, Jisung, if you’re hungry, just come down the hall and find me, ok? I’m gonna be in the same room we were just in. Can you do that?”
Jisung nodded.
“Ok, good.”
“Can I hold the baby?”
Nia laughed. “Ok, how about you go sit down on the couch? Then you can hold him for a few minutes.”
Jisung climbed onto the couch as Nia picked Jihoo off the floor. When Jisung was situated, Nia set the baby in his arms. Jihoo stared up at him out of wide eyes. Jisung giggled.
“He’s cute.”

Hours later, Jungkook came home to find the house a disaster. Jisung was stacking blocks in the living room, and the kitchen looked like a tornado had hit it, but no one else seemed to be in either rooms. He walked down the hallway to find Sua sound asleep with Jinri and Jihoo in her arms. Nia was rocking a half-asleep Jiwoon.
“Hi!” Nia whispered.
“Looks like you guys had a rough day. The kitchen isn’t looking so hot.” Jungkook whispered back, chuckling.
“I’m so sorry about that. I made lunch and then didn’t have time to clean anything up because Jihoo had a blowout.”
“No, no, it’s fine. The house was a disaster last week when I was home too. Do you want me to take him?”
“I can hold him for a bit longer if you want to go change out of your work clothes. I don’t have to be home for another hour yet.”
“Ok, thank you. I’ll be back in a minute.”
Once Jungkook was in some more comfortable clothes, he headed out the living room.
“Hey, Jisung, can we clean up your toys now? Auntie Nia is going to take you home in a few minutes, and we need to clean up all your toys.”
Jisung sighed. “But there’s a lot.”
“Yeah. But if you clean them up, it won’t look messy in here and then you’ll have somewhere clean to play in the morning. How does that sound?”
Jisung pouted. “Ok.”
Within five minutes, the living room was completely clean.
“Good job, Jisung. Look at how nice it looks in here now!”
Jisung grinned. “Is it time to go now?”
“I think so. Can you wait out here? I’ll go get Auntie Nia.”
“Ok!”
Jungkook headed back down the hall. “I’ll take Jiwoon now. Thanks for helping Sua today. She’s been tired every single day even with me helping. I can’t imagine how she would’ve made it through the day alone.”
Nia smiled. “It’s no problem. I love little kids, and I’d do anything to help Sua.”
Jungkook smiled. “Well, you have a little boy waiting in the living room for you. You should head home now.”
I can’t even imagine how she gets anything done at all!!!
