Jin glanced over at the clock. It read 3:20. He sighed.
“Appa…”
Jin looked down, jumping a bit as a tiny figure was outlined in front of him by the dim light pouring through the closed shades.
“What is it, Minnie?”
“Tummy hurts…”
“Oh, dear.”
Jin climbed out of bed, piling pillows around Kookie in case he woke up or rolled around. Then he squatted down next to Jimin.
“Do you feel like you’re gonna throw up?”
“Yeah…”
“Ok, let’s get you to the bathroom then, baby.”
He scooped Jimin up in his arms, quickly making his way to the bathroom connected to his room. He sat Jimin in front of the toilet. Not even a minute later, Jimin had his head in the toilet as he puked out his dinner. And probably his lunch too. Tears streamed down his face as he pulled back and leaned on Jin.
“Do you feel better, baby?”
Jimin nodded slowly. “No more…”
“You don’t need to puke anymore?”
Jimin shook his head.
“All right. Do you want to go snuggle?”
Jimin nodded. Jin picked him up and placed him on the edge of the counter. He got a washcloth wet and used it to wipe Jimin’s face off. Then he took him back to his room so he could keep an eye on Kookie. He sat down in the chair and laid Jimin on his chest. Jimin’s eyes fluttered shut and he was soon sound asleep. Jin smiled down at him.
“Sweet dreams, little angel.”

An hour later Jin awoke to sobbing. It was distant, though. It was coming from the bathroom on the other end of the hallway. He glanced down at his lap. Jimin was still here. He slowly shifted in the chair, getting up and placing a slumbering Jimin next to Kookie in the bed. Then he headed for the bathroom. Upon arriving at the bathroom, he found Tae curled up in a ball on the floor, tears hitting the tile as he sobbed.
“What’s wrong, Tae?”
“Tummy hurts…” Tae whimpered.
“Not you too…” Jin sighed. “Did you throw up?”
Tae nodded slowly. “Tummy still hurts…”
“Ok…Can you stay in here by yourself for a minute?”
Tae nodded again.
“Ok. I’ll be right back, baby.”
Jin headed straight to the kitchen to get a bowl. They’d be safer in bed if they had a bowl. As he was digging the bowl out, he heard Kookie’s cries from his bedroom. He sighed and quickly finished pulling the bowl out. He headed back to his bedroom to find both Kookie and Jimin crying. They were both covered in puke.
“I sorry…” Jimin hiccupped. “I wake Kookie up…”
“Oh, baby, don’t apologize.” Jin placed the bowl on the bed and snuck his arms under Jimin’s armpits before scooping him up and taking him to the master bathroom again. He placed Jimin in the tub and stripped him to his diaper.
“I’m gonna go get Tae-Tae and clean up Kookie, ok?”
“Ok…”
Jin walked back into his room to pick up his crying Kookie. He took him over to the changing table and stripped him down to his diaper as well. Then Jin placed him in the playpen and gave him his stuffed bunny to keep him occupied. Next Jin went to get Tae. He found him with his head in the toilet as he hiccupped.
“Tae? You ok?”
“Yeah…”
“Do you think you’re done right now?”
Tae nodded, sitting back on the ground.
“All right.”
Jin scooped him up off the floor and flushed the toilet before carrying him to the other bathroom where Jimin was still seated in the tub. Jin stripped Tae bare and set him in the bath with Jimin. Then he took Jimin out of his diaper before running the bath.
“Can have swaberry bubbles, Appa?” Tae asked, his wide eyes still shining with tears.
“Of course, baby.”
Once the tub was filled with warm, sudsy, strawberry scented water, Jin massaged shampoo into the twins’ hair and washed them of their filth. A few minutes later they were both seated on the bathmat wrapped in fluffy towels.
“All right. I’m gonna go get your diapers and clothes, ok?”
Two tired heads nodded. Jin kissed both of their wet heads before going to gather their garments. He was back in a minute and diapered the two of them before towel drying their hair. Then he put them each in a pajama shirt and scooped them off the floor, heading back to his bedroom with them in his arms.
“Do you guys think you can watch Kookie for a few minutes? I need to change the bed sheets so we can cuddle.”
“We watch Kookie, Appa.” Jimin responded, nuzzling Jin’s chest with his nose.
“Ok.” Jin set them both down on the floor next to the playpen and placed the bowl he had brought back from the kitchen in front of them.
“If your tummies hurt you can puke into this bowl, ok?”
Two nods was all he got in response. But it was all he needed. He quickly stripped the bed sheets and took them along with all the puke covered clothing out to the washer and started it. Then he grabbed another bowl from the kitchen just to be on the safe side. Once he was back in the bedroom, he quickly remade the bed with his extra set of sheets. He picked both of the twins up and put them on the bed, giving them the bowls. Then he quickly dressed Kookie and joined them in the bed.
“Appa…wan’ more pillows.” Tae whined.
“All right, all right.” Jin climbed out of bed again and stuck Kookie in between the twins. “Watch Kookie. I’ll go get more pillows.”
About twenty pillows and five blankets later, Jin had made a make-shift nest around him and his boys. Kookie had settled himself on Jin’s chest and Tae and Jimin had snuggled into his sides.
“Can watch Pororo, Appa?” Jimin asked.
“Yes, we can watch Pororo.” Jin reached for the remote and flicked on the TV. Thankfully the twins’ stomachs seemed to be settled for now. It wasn’t long before all three of the boys were fast asleep. But Jin wouldn’t know, for he was sound asleep too.
