Chocolate Kisses – Chapter 37: Stolen Moments of Bliss

When Kookie finally lifted his lips from mine – Why did that kiss have to end? – I smiled up at him.  Then the blue sky along with the bright sunlight caught my eye, and I remembered that time was flying.

“Kookie!  We need to go!  I don’t want to make you late for your practice.”

“Let’s take a walk.”  He reached down and enclosed my hand with his own, lacing our fingers together.

“But, Kookie—”

He cut me off.  “No, Grace, I meant it.  I meant what I said.”  He looked down at me, a little frustrated.  “Did you think I only said that to get you to kiss me?”

“What?  No.  I think you wanted me to know how much I mean to you.  And I do now, Kookie.  You don’t have to miss your concert just to prove yourself to me.”

He grinned down at me and strode forward towards the walking path, firmly pulling me along beside him.  The comforting warmth of his hand wrapped itself around my fingers.  I was so in love with him that I felt conflicted.  Was he really considering forsaking BTS and ARMY to spend today with me?  As wonderful as it would be to have an entire day alone with Jungkook, the thought of him blowing off everyone for me disconcerted me.

“Kookie,” I pleaded, digging my heels into the ground, forcing him to stop too.  “It’s one thing to give up everything when I need you to.  It’s another thing to do it just to prove that you would.  I believe you.  You don’t have to sacrifice anything for me today.  You’ve convinced me.”

He grinned down at me again.  “It’s all right, Grace.  We have twenty minutes before we need to leave.”

Now it was my turn to be perturbed.  “Jungkook!  You did that just to tease me, didn’t you?”

“Grace, you put me through a miserable morning, you know that?  I just wanted to play with you a little.”

Men!  Sometimes I do not understand their perversity!  I put him through a miserable morning?  It was horrendous for me too!!!

“Don’t be contrary with me, Kookie!  You distressed me.”

But now he was melting me with that cute grin of his.

“Ok.  I’m sorry.  Will you forgive me?”  He flashed his adorable, chubby teeth at me, and I, of course, was a goner!  “And can we just enjoy the next hour together?  Once we get to the stadium, I won’t really get to spend much time with you again until after the concert is over.”

He stepped closer to me.  He was grinning mischievously down at me.  He had also just infringed on my personal space again.  Not that I minded…

“Kookie…” My voice held a warning note.  What was he up to?

His grin just kept growing wider.  Then his head dipped, and he found my lips again with his own.  I sighed into his mouth.  If this was how he wanted to spend the next half hour, who was I to argue with him?
